A sweet lady that my Mom works with, sent home a packed full box of wonderful fabric. There were nice big pieces of all sorts of materials. Cottons, knit, felt, and lace. I had been thinking about getting started on some clothes for Tori. She is growing like a weed.
There was the prettiest lemon yellow material with matching lace. I didn't think there would enough lace, but once I laid the pattern all out I had just enough. It was destined to be made into a new dress!
Mom helped me pretty- it up even more with some matching ribbon and white eyelet. This is what we ended up with ;)

Tori tried it on so I could get the hem right. She's so tall, I almost didn't need to hem it at all, but since I could just leave the edge like that I had to do it anyways.
Here is the close-up of the eyelet and ribbon at the waist.

Tori said she felt like a princess, so I will take that as a good review :)

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, cookies in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming. "WOOHOO, What a Ride!"

Thanks girls!
Bonne-- I wish it would last long enough to be able to fit her until Easter. By then, she will have long outgrown it. She is growing so fast. She is built just like I was. All legs and arms..lol. I can hope really hard it will work...just maybe...until then :)

That is so cute. Now we need to see the little Princess in the dress. I bet she's just gorgeous. You could make a little crown with beads and ribbons for her hair. That would be so cute with the dress.

Kris, I will have to do that. She think she is just the Pink of Perfection..lol. With having a boy and girl, it is nice to see her being the frilly girly type. I was always the roll in the mud stay outside til dark type. This princess-y girl is a whole new thing for me..lol
My boy is like a dumptruck. He just kind of plow through everything. When Tori gets up tomorrow, I will try to get her to let me take her pic with it on. She pretends to be camera shy, but its only a phassod (SP?)trust me..lol
Both the kiddos are camera piggies!! :)

You can always add a ruffle or two at the bottom as she grows! Job well done.
