It's a bright and cheery morning here today. Last night I was folding my stash of car blankets, I call them that because they are in my car, they are about 36" x 60" , I took a couple of them and cut a neck and blanket stitched the edges. This morning when I took my coffee and my dogs on a walkabout the property I wore one. It was so cozy and warm. My hands stayed warm, because it's long it covered down to my legs. Fabulous. I stayed out longer checking out all the new green plants coming out of the ground.
Have a wonderful day.

Yes that is a wonderfyul way of staying warm!

LOL makes me think of what my friend and I made out of 2 of those fleece blankets last year. We were in a play at her BBQ party, and we had to play nuns because we were performing a song from Sister Act.
And there were not enough nun costumes at the rental place. SO friend A and I decided to make outr own, from black fleece blankets. It turned out just fine. Sewed 2 together, made sleeves and cut a hole for the neck. LOT'S of uses for just a regularblanket, lol

Very nice idea with the blanket. I wanted to do that but was afraid the hole would ravel out. I guess if you sewed it up real good and didn't use a loose weave fabric it could work. I love it!

Dutchy? you were a nun and singing...sounds like so much fun!!
I think I'll start telling everyone that Dutchy is a NUN...so be careful!!

I would love to put on a picture but I don't have a camera. Sorry. My blanket was an actual wool blanket so it didn't ravel so sewing with a blanket stitch worked well. Have fun. Ingrid
