Hello Again... I have been absent for a long while and I thought I would check in with you all;) It has been a wild month for us, my husband had back surgery after months of terrible pain and he is on his way to a full recovery, my computer died in the midst of all that, with feet of snow on the ground keeping us home- a farmgirl friend swooped in and saved me with a spare computer, what a huge blessing. Through all of it we were amazed at the support from our friends and family.
Julia- Your package yesterday really lifted my spirits, like a big hug all wrapped up...thank you!
Meg- Only a true friend will offer to cook your dinners for a week in her third trimester! You are fabulous and I am excited to return the favor soon;)
I am so thankful for all the kind souls in my life, hard times just never get too hard with all you gals in my life. Warmly, Rebekka

WElcome back Rebekka!! Good to see you here. My husband had back surgery about 8 years ago now..it gets better...but I thought the recovery time was worse than the actual surgery..not able to do things he wanted to do and tired of all that. I hope your husband recovers quickly and it all goes well. How sweet of Meg!!!

Rebekka, I was just wondering where you were. I'm so glad that you are back with us here. How is your hubby doing? How are YOU doing? Will send good healing energy to your husband and sanity (ha!) and peace wishes towards you. My sweetie minor-ly broke his back about ten years ago and it is a slow process whenever you are dealing with a back. But I'm glad he is on the way to recovery.
Blessings Annika

Erik is doing well, we got him out of the house for a bit today in the sunshine and he LOVES that my girlfriends are taking turns feeding us this week...though he might prefer their cooking to mine;) He is getting better every day but it is slow going, visualize a firefighter with a walker- it is amazing he is in such high spirits!
The hardest part is that I never mentally prepped myself to be a caregiver the way I did when our kids were born but that is exactly what I have needed to do...I ordered a copy of Laurel's Kitchen Caring and I am trying to think of fun things we can laugh about while he is homebound. It is a balancing act with two little ones and Erik but we are happily sorting it out. We are all just tired and the work of running the house on my own since Thanksgiving while having him and the kids underfoot sometimes gets the best of me.
I am trying to meditate daily on patience and kindness;)
I can't wait to have a bit more time to catch up on the forums, hear about who is keeping bees now and get back in touch... R
