Julia is my first name, but it is my screen name as I am not computer savey and didn't think to be clever like the rest of you. I could have been Pudge as that was my nickname growing up. I have thought about changing it. So maybe ya'll should help me come up with something. I'll even give a prize to the one I like best? Anybody game?
Here are some helps. I love gardening, tea, I go barefoot, I have toe rings, I am a grama, love music, middle initial is K, love books
Hmmm? ...pudgeygardner... What do ya think?

well.....this one is kinda long....my first name is Melanie and years ago I worked with a guy fron Jamaica. He told me that, "Melanie is a stupid white girls name" and started calling me Mella after that. Well another co-worker heard that and said, "well, Mella-is-bella" (he was italian and told me Bella means beautiful) sooooooo that is how I got Mellaisbella:)

Jessie and Kathy - No, they must have swarmed and gone somewhere else. But last spring, as I stood under a Yoshino cherry tree I planted years ago, I heard a humming sound(I was channeling Winnie the Pooh). I looked up at the pink and white blooms and when I focused my eyes in the sunlight, the tree was alive with honeybees! Actual honeybees! I stood there a long time and tears ran down my cheeks. I did take some pics of the bees all over the back of the house...I'll post them if I can find them. When I pressed my ear against the wall, I could hear that humming sound! LOL! There were abandoned combs in several walls of the house that we found as we knocked old plaster off.

There's a famous Buddhist sutra (scripture) where Lord Buddha says things exist in the same way as the horns of a rabbit. Things are illusory meaning it's an illusion that things appear out there independent of our input. It's karma; exactly the same as "as you sew, so shall you reap". So it's a spiritual reminder to take responsibility for how I treat others because what goes around comes around!

Well, ya'll are all just too cute. I did not know when I joined this forum anything about this. I had never had a computer before and had never even been on a forum. So I had no idea about names. I just used my own name. And then even my full name. I usually just go by Kris but do like to be called Kristin. I use my farm name on some other forums I've joined. It's Outback Farm. I should change it to this here, but don't know how yet.
And now I know what's behind all your names! Very interesting. I love the bee story, Janice.

Dawn in IL was a play on words when I first joined up. My Windy Pines cousin from WI always refers to the family in IL as, "down in IL". So the first time I was typing my name on here, it just hit me to type up Dawn in IL. I just stuck with it.

I love reading about everyones names and where they came from! Too fun!! Mine is pretty "original" - my grandma had 4 boys and always wanted a girl...so along I came, the first grand-daughter and she nicknamed me "peachy". So, I've been peachy since the day I was born!

Lainey is what some friends and family call me. The nickname came from my parents who called me that when I was young and it just kind of stuck.

Lainey-- That is sweet. I wish my nickname as a kid had been more, shall we say endearing, as a kid so I could have it now. Mine was....grr....**blushing** Messy Jessie among other things...lol. hugs

I haven't posted in ages and this looked like a good place to start. MustangSuzie....Mustang for the wild horse, I love the way they run with the wind and sometimes I want to do the same. And Suzie is just short for my middle name, Suzanne. I've heard a million times, "i thought it was mustang sally?" lol I like to be original.

I wasn't thinking much when I signed in. I rekindled my crocheting several years ago, and I love cupcakes which have become so popular lately. This is the same username I have on Ravelry but I don't think it was the best choice. I moved to a farm and became an apron addict after I created this one.
