YIKES!! When is the deadline???
I have the very cool fabric in now- but havent started the apron yet!!! Am I a slacker??? Laura Marie is a designer-I'll just tell her all the roadblocks to success and she'll understand
Actually I special ordered the fabric and it didnt come till yesterday-it was worth the wait, I think.

Blessings,

Whoo hooo!!! Can't wait Amy Grace!!

My hubs and I traded cars, because mine is now over legal drinking age~22~lol
Runs great~looks like hell~but he only has to drive it to work on Mon. then home on Thurs night because he drives a company vehicle during the work week. I can't believe how redneck my "grey ghost" has gotten since he took over. Still, the repairs to it are so much easier to do than on the newer cars.

Laura Marie- your apron is done!!!!
I think I'll get it in the mail on Monday or Tuesday-Post office will be closed one of those days for Mardi Gras-.

I made my "young daughter" make a few decisions for me- I didn't want you to get an apron you'd feel uncool in. I hope you like it!
I had lots of fun doing it!

I really like the apron pattern. Well, the pattern needed some tweaking. I found out that there was an error in the pattern instructions. When I showed my friends at the fabric store, they couldn't believe it.

Jess, I hope that the pockets hold a lot of eggs and wear well.

It was Simplicity 3544. My friend at Joannes suggested that I contact Simplicity about the error in the directions, so I did. I received a very nice reply today:

Thank you for writing! We apologize for the inconvenience. We did find a few guide sheets in house incorrect. You are correct; the instructions given do need to be revised. I will bring this issue to the correct department. Below I will include a diagram and a brief explanation of how to complete your apron. I hope they will be helpful to you. We would like to send you a complimentary pattern of your choice. If you will just let us know the pattern number, correct size you need for that particular pattern, and your complete mailing address, we will be happy to send that right out to you. You can see the back of the pattern envelopes on our website at www.Simplicity.com. When you get to the page of a particular pattern that you want, click on the side bar where it says “Envelope Back”, and there you will find the correct measurements and sizes for that pattern. Again, please accept our sincere apologies.

I thought that this was so nice of them. I thought that writing to the company would get passed over, but I was wrong. So...gals, if you come across something that isn't right, it pays to write.

Jess, you are a talented person through and through. I would be happy with anything you make, because my friend made it for me. Those costumes you make for your children are awesome.
