Iwant one, too, thought i had found a cute little 12 footer on caigs list for $650 or trade so I called, but the guy had sold it 2 days earlier...that's the problem with craigslist, the posters don't always keep the items updated....but they do have ALOT of travel trailers!!! It's a really great place to start!!!!....Kelley

If we were closer to each other, I'd have you talk to my dad. I think he is the king of finding old trailers. He has a knack of finding them all the time. He will haul them home, fix them up and then decide they aren't what he wants afterall! (We won't talk about how my mom feels about all this!) Once he brought home a travel trailer and tore it apart because all he wanted was the frame to build another trailer. After he realized it wasn't long enough, he sold it! He did break even on that deal by the time he sold what he could for scrap and the frame.

Sometimes he finds them at the local auctions, but most the time, when he is out driving around he just looks for old trailers in people's yards. If there are a lot of weeds growing up around them, it's a good indication that they haven't used it in a while. He has at times, gone up the door and talked to the folks to find out if they want to sell it. He also lets his friends know what he is looking for and he has found a few that way.

A feed store I used to go to, had a bulletin board that people could post stuff for sale on. Do you have something like that where you are?

Good luck!

You can take the farmer's daughter off the farm but you can't take the farm out of the farmer's daughter!!

I have seen them on Ebay, but pricey & you can not rummage through them before buying if they are out of the area. I recommend that you really check the trailer out for water damage/rot.
I found "Gracie Girl" on Craigs List....
Don't be shy, if you are out driving & spot one, knock on the door of the owner's home. You just never know when the opportunity will present it's self. I have a friend who did just that & ended up buying her trailer from a lady who had it parked on the side of her house...
