I know who my SP is now. It's Leslie (Rural Suburbia). I had no idea at all. She was a good SP. Thank you, Leslie. I got the pottery today. I just love going to the mailbox and pulling out a surprise. SO nice. Thanks again!

YAY Kristin! It didn't break? I didn't have any bubble wrap, and the lady at the post office doubted me until I doubted myself...I've been waiting too see if it arrived in one piece!

Whenever you do the next one, could you post what it is all about again? Ive looked at them both times, but then Im not sure if I remember what all is supposed to happen with it. :)

| Well, this was my first go around with online secret pals and not sure if I will do it again. It has pretty much been a bust for me all the way around. The girl I send to doesn't come here anymore and after sending her a couple of emails to see if she was getting my packages I finally got a very short email "got your package"(I guess she meant the last one). thanks" haven't heard anything since...and on the one who sends to me...i got a package around valentine's and haven't heard from her since. kind of disappointing, but, such is life sometimes,lol. |

I have been meaning to pop up here and thank my secret pal! (Long story short...husband is hospital--he's ok, in-laws in town, work...need I say more? ha) Anyhow...I just know she's reading my blog! OMGOSH! I couldn't believe the box I got! She knows exactly my taste! Everything was pink and roses and the crocheted doilies are gorgeous! Did she make these? I am put to shame! I was proud of my little scarf I made at Christmas, haha. Whoever, you are, you just blessed me beyond belief! What a beautiful PINK teacup! :) I can't believe all the goodies I got...now...I wonder who she is?

I too was disapointed in the Secret Pals, I guess my expectations were to high. I also am not sure if I would do it again. But as you said such is life!

Please remember that things you write here on the forum can really hurt others' feelings. Even though you don't know who your "secret pal" is, she is also a forum member and, of course, her feelings will be hurt if you say you're disappointed in your secret pal exchanges. With all the things we farmgirls are dealing with in today's climate, it's really very special that anyone makes the time to send a little secret pal gift. If you're the recipient of a gift, be sure to take the time to appreciate the gesture and post your thanks. And if you've signed up and haven't received a gift, remember that there are a million things that might prevent that happening, even with the best of intentions.

I would like to do a secret pal swap the next time one is organized, and the person making the matches should pair me up with someone who was burned this time. I have had some very nice swap partners here after being burned the first few times. I know the people who let me down meant well...and the folks who received from me indicated they liked their "loot!"

| hi---i've been out of commission for a little over a week, unfortunately hurt my back really bad and couldn't get up here to the computer or out of the house......i found out that marlene burns was my secret pal....i was really lucky, she is a sweet-heart!! ..a big thank you to her....(she knows that, i got a card out to her..) anyway, to the girl who i am a secret pal to.....i promise to get something out and let you know that it's me(!), sorry for the delay, but i promise, you'll hear from me soon! |
