how's the weather been this past week? Our cabin neighbors are in TN so I can't call and ask them and I kind of like to keep track with a human slant, in addition to weather.com.
Well, right now it is only 20 degrees with a light snow. The wind has been a blowing. Our streets in the neighborhood are very very icy right now. Most of the small cars or trucks without 4 wheel drive are having a hard time getting up or down our street. The city (Billings) stated due to the previous storm in October that had a lot of tree damage they have no money to clear our streets. I just wonder if someone really gets hurt will they then find the funds?
Hope you are safe. I have read and heard reports of flooding and mud slides in your part of the country.

Doug and I were out driving when the snow storm hit and the car fishtailed 3 times even though we were driving as slow and as careful as is humanly possible. On the way home the car almost spun but the combo of slow driving and knowing how to handle a car on ice only made it be a bad fishtail. It's nasty. We are home and staying here!
I know if we were over there we'd be huddled up in the cabin with a hot cocoa playing cribbage and feeding the fire. Don't go out in that weather unless you absolutely have to!
Right now (January 3rd) the temp is only a balmy -3 with a light breeze. I will be going out to see if I can take some winter pictures near the Yellowstone River. Maybe tomorrow if the weather is calm my DH and I will travel to Gardiner Montana and make a winter visit to Yellowstone. We have been trying for 3 weeks but the weather has been so severe with blowing snow and freezing rain. Wish for descent weather.
Do you know I just realized you guys are in Billings, and a girl I went to 5th grade with lives out there. Her DH just opened a dentists office. I think her name is Anna Mills Mathews. What a small world!
BTW I am really jealous of your beautiful and COLD wniter weather!

Just got back from some essential shopping (groceries etc). Boy and I glad to be indoors! The sun is kindof melting the roads which just makes the ice slipperier for the time being. If we get a few more days without more snow and more sun we might have safe driving again.
