Dalyn, you can also check out the Seed Savers Exchange ( www.seedsavers.org )
And then come over to the DOE (Danger of Extinction) thread. We're always excited to meet another heirloom gardener.

P.S. You can also check out MJ's Heirloom Mavens henhouse. We're going to be reading "Gardening with Heirloom Seeds" in January. Interested??? |

Dalyn, the mavens range from novice gardeners to master gardeners. We're all there to learn together. My father was an amazing gardener, could grow things no one else could. But he didn't pass any of it on to me. I was supposed to learn on my own like he did so gardening was always a frustrating activity for me.
Last summer my husband had his first real garden in several years and I had my FIRST herb garden. I loved it and it reconnected me to my roots. Yet another thing to thank MaryJane for. Jump on in, introduce yourself. The gardening discussions are kicking up again on the DOE thread. I'll give them a heads up that you might be coming.
And you can help me with the animals. Do you have chickens? We're thinking of getting some this spring - that is if I can keep up the nerve. I'm afraid of getting in over my head.

P.S. Dalyn, you've been introduced to the mavens. Your turn....... |
