Boy Christmas is a long time coming and over in a blink! Hope you all had a Happy Holiday. I posted a picture.
All that snow and wind and cold has turned to rain and going to be in the high 40's tomorrow. Then cold again. But we had a pretty white Christmas. Lets see about three more months of snow and I can think about flowers. Right now I'll TRY and catch up on reading and crafts. A sure way to catch up on my reading is to stop buying books. Then we must not forget about the thrift store. Staring next week I hope to be going there on my once a week visit again. Been missing that.

Nancy Jo that is a great picture of the girls, and your place looks so cozy and warm. I'm keepin my things Christmasy until Jan 6 th this year, and keeping the red look in the living room until Feb 14 th. Then after that I decorating for Spring, : )

Our DD is taking her tree down b/c of much needed room today, they will put the tree outside and decorate, with food for the birds and critters right outside their big window so they can watch.

I'm cleaning my house in stages, lol, clean a little take a break w/coffee and look at blogs and post.

Have you worked on the inside of your trunk yet? Keep us posted when you do that.

So glad someone else took their tree down besides me, maybe I'm sane after all. Happy New Year to you too. We sure do enjoy the apple butter and jam. The kids loved the popcorn balls.

Hey, Nancy Jo!!! Nice pic of the girls and your front room. It does sound like you had some good family fun. Your snow scenes are real pretty. You get the wind too don't you. We didn't get any wind--just snow. But you got a ton of snow too. I just want it to go away. And I want to find my car. The boys keep uncovering it and it keeps disappearing by morning. Well the boys went home with their parents but will be back Monday for another week. I think they are trying to break Gramma. I am just too tough. I told them I could spit nails---they keep testing me. LOL MB

The girls look beautiful and so does the room! Very warm & cozy.

We had a frigid, but white Christmas here too. Today we woke up to a sheet of black ice & the neighborhood was stuck in their homes because no one could climb the hill out of here. We are now getting rain, which I hope will eventually melt all this ice as the temps climb to the 53 they are calling for tomorrow!

I plan to take my tree and decorations down on Monday. To be honest I'd do it now, but I'm trying to relax & play with my 5 year old son.

What a sweet picture. You are right, the build up til Christmas seems to take forever and then - poof- it is over. My son came and stayed a couple days and we had loads of fun, the kitties kept dismantling the Christmas tree, they needed the exercise I guess. We had a really nice Christmas Eve supper, my kids were very impressed that I had cooked a duck. It is about the easiest thing to cook, but neither of my children cook much, so they are easy to impress.

I think I'll leave the tree up for a few more days. I get lots of entertainment watching the cats stealing bits and pieces and taking off with them. I hope all are warm and well, it is getting cold here again and the roads are getting icy...
