My 16 year old daughter has been tired of having two horses for awhile now...silly! She is keeping the pinto saddlebred she raised from a colt, and is selling me the blue-eyed paint mare! Yeah! My horse is getting old, so now I have one that's only 7 and will last me until I'm old, and is a real flashy looker to boot *U* There's pictures of her on my blog- they are from a local rodeo my daughter rode in and placed- 3 times!
That is something to be happy about! I know you will have many happy years together.
I had a paint mare for a few years. I got her for my grandkids to ride. She had 1 blue eye and 1 brown eye. She was so beautiful. Chloe, the 1st GD, named her Sally Sunshine Moonshade. I bought her for $200 from a friend and after 2 1/2 years and $1000s of $$$$ I sold her back to him for $300. So no more horses for this farmgirl. But I do love them. When I want a horse again, I go down to my friend and smell their horses. That's enuf for me for awhile. I love horsey smell!
Enjoy your new horse. Kris
Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you. Maori proverb
Good for you. She looks a lot like my mare--Ambush. Ambush was 25 when she broke a shoulder and I had to have her put down--but there were lots of years of fun. She was a barrel racing horse so if yours is fast you ought to give it a try. FUN--FUN--FUN--. Can't wait 'til Spring. MB
