I just got done one of my last crochet projects for Christmas. I have one more to go, but this one leaves me stumped. I crocheted slippers for my Father-in-Law. He wears a size 13 shoes. Well, I made it according to the pattern, but it measures 13" which I think is like a size 15. Hubby held it up to his size 9 1/2 foot and it was about 4" longer. Does anyone know how long a size 13 shoe is? Are these going to be entirely too huge for him? elongatingly disgruntled in jersey,

If they are too big, and you used wool.....you could always felt them down a bit. Super easy to do......and easy to control size too. |

Thanks Terri and Connie. I used regular acrylic yarn. He is a wide width, so I am hoping that it will fudge through all right. I am so disappointed that they turned out so huge! grrr!! hugs

This is the pattern I used. I added the appropriate measures to make the larger size. Thinking maybe I added just a little too much. Will it make it better that he does wear a WIDE width shoe maybe?

jessie i think if they are a little big adding thin lengths of elastic around several areas would do the trick! peace connie in alaska |
