Haven't been on for many moons/months - went to Colorado to take care of my mother the first part of the year for quite some time. Was difficult situation to handle. Came home and then got word she passed. Again, difficult. Had problems with younger brother wanting to know what he was going to get... I'm sure some of you could relate to this. Then had to deal with selling her house, getting rid of her furniture, keeping certain items, etc. Took weeks to do everything. Hard being away from home for so long. Loving and fantastic husband was my moral support and my rock.
But everything is over and done with and I'm back to "doing my thing". Now getting back to my knitting, croceting, sewing, spinning and writing letters.
Live in the snowy Black Hills where it looks like a picture post card right now with all the snow we've had.
Looking forward to getting back on and catching up with everyone and everything going on - especially the pen pal list.
Peace and good fortune to all. Annie |

Welcome back, Annie. So sorry about your mother.
It is a bit cold there, I'm sure. Stay warm and dry and knit away!
I'll be thinking of all you out there from nice warm Ga. this week.

HI Annie, Sorry to hear about your mom, I am sure that was a difficult time. Not sure why some family members choose to be difficult when things are hard enough, I guess it is just their way. Glad your back. Hope this holiday season you can find all the fun memories to make the holidays extra special for you and yours.

Thank you ladies for your kind and warm thoughts. And yes, it's been REALLY, REALLY cold up here - 20-45 degrees below zero wind chill factor. Nice today, but the bottom is going to drop agian this weekend.

Welcome back Annie. I am very sorry to hear about your Mom. Maybe your brother acted the way he did because of the grieving. I love the black hills, been there many times as I'm from Wyoming. It is very easy to understand why they are so sacred to the Lakota.
