My landlord came over today to inspect the property. We had a repair man here yesterday (works for the landlord) who fixed out broken shower faucet that has been pouring water for about 2 months. I hated having that happen in our shower because of how much water it was wasting and how wet it made our bathroom! Luckily it was the cold tap and they pay the water bill!

So after checking the shower, he said they still need to do some work on it. They are also going to do some preventative work on the toilet, clean up the damage that was done in the basement, clean our heaters, and get the one heater that won't turn past "pilot" working too! How great is that! They are finally getting around the all the things that we have needed done for a long time!

Thanks Allison! I really appreciate it! I was just thinking about how each day I am chipping away at the huge load that has been weighing me down. This year started off bad about this time last year with a close-call car accident. A friend was trying to help me and about hit me with his truck. I am thankful to be here. The snowball of stress and bad situations that started then is finally starting to melt!

And more good news! It looks like I will pass every class I took this semester with good grades! That makes me feel awesome!

That's great news Alee! I'm glad your landlord is finally fixing your place up. As a landlord, it just irks me when landlords don't keep properties in good repair. Hubby and I have a policy that all of our properties be maintained and safe. We want any place that we rent out to be a place that we would feel safe and comfortable to live in ourselves.

Oh my gosh Diana! You would have been mortified if you saw this place then. We were between a rock and a hard place and so didn't have much choice. It was this or be "homeless" (I would have had to live with my Parents while Doug continued to sleep on a friend's couch).

When I came to look at the place, there was no carpet in the living room, just seriously damaged old linoleum with carpet glue all over it. The black floors in the living room and kitchen were brown from so much dirt and dust on them. The bathroom was disgusting, and my landlords failed to tell us that the house is absolutely infested with mice. I need to buy stock in d-con because I use enough of it just to keep the house clean! Oh an we went without a stove for 4 months!

Jamie- we had 2 burners that worked and the broiler worked, but no oven. It was a nightmare! You don't realize how often you use the oven until you don't have one!

This is great news. I am glad to hear that these much needed repairs are finally getting done. It seems like this place has been a bit tough to live in.
