Our Farmgirl sister, Lisa Marie from Idaho City is going through a really rough time in her personal life right now. With out going into details I know she could use your prayers. She has been my best friend and sister for over 10 years and my heart goes out to her. Please let her know you are thinking of her, I know she could really use the boost right now. Thanks to everyone on this sight it sure has changed my life for the better.

Maybe once things settle down we could all band together to send Lisa a little flood of blessings to lift her spirits?
I know that right now is not the best time for our budgets and such, but perhaps we could send her like $5 in the mail or even a small gift certificate from a department store (Walmart or something that even if they aren't close by, she could use to order needed things via internet) or even some of those pre-paid credit card things that you can get at Wal-Mart.
Let's keep it in mind. I know that on payday we might be able to find $10 to tuck into a Christmas card or something.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. It means the world to me to be so blessed with so many who love and care for me. It truly makes up for the fact that I have no family. You all have become my extended family over the past year and a half and I love you all to pieces.
I will spill my embarrassing situation briefly. My husband is a violent alcoholic. I have done everything I could to try to fix/cure/help him and keep our 19 year marriage together. But after 14 years of unsuccessful results, I have decided to leave for self preservation's sake. I left in a hurry and am currently in hiding.
As many of you know, I live in a town of about 400 people. Everybody knows what is going on and everybody is helping to keep me hidden. He has been going all over town trying to find me and throwing fits and scaring other folks. I am still able to go to work as I work at the courthouse and have lots of people and cops around and he won't come in here anymore. He was caught skulking around the outside of the building this morning and one of our bailiff's kind of chased him off.
I am fine, other than feeling a bit displaced. I found a house to move to on the 20th and will stay there until the divorce is final and I can get him out of the house (if I win in court). Which will probably be til spring. I asked for the house in the divorce and to pay him his half of the equity in it as I want to make sure Felicia will someday get the house. He can have EVERYTHING else. I just want to be left alone to live in peace.
Thank you all, again. Your warm, loving thoughts and prayers bring me great comfort and is making me all teary-eyed.

LisaMarie- Please take care of yourself, and you should maybe also get an order of protection against him from the court. I was involved in an alcoholic/abusive marriage, so if you need to talk, feel free to contact me.

Lisa- I can't even begin to imagine all the feelings that have gone into this situation. I am so happy that the community is supporting you and helping you stay out of his reach. Can you get a restraining order issued against him?

Lisa Marie - be strong!! I have been in a similar situation and I applaud your strength in your decision. Please let us know if there is anything you need, or that we can do to help. It sounds like you have a support system in town; that can be so important. Remember that you have the farmgirl support system too

Yes, Alee, that address works. Diana, I filed for a protection order but, because the last time he hurt me or threatened to kill me was too long ago, the judge couldn't order one based on an old event or threat. Recent stuff is just throwing/breaking things, slamming doors, puching walls and windows and screaming horrible obscenities, insults and accusations.
I am being very careful and do not go out around town except after dark. I go to work early and I've been leaving early so he doesn't catch me outside the courthouse.
I sure do appreciate all your concern, support and prayers. I never thought I would ever need it, but I'm so glad I'm a part of the family here. It's such a comfort.
