LOL nice smile and laugh for the day
I don't long for the olden times....I don't believe they were really simpler..lol
Lots of us don't have irons, can't find our irons, don't know if we have one or not..and even some can't find our bras!! Remember the 60s-70s when we feminists were burning our bras! That was bonfire style..not with the iron...lol
bras on fire!!! lol

LOL~Thank you for the good laugh. I am ironing now but never would think to iron a bra. I hate ironing and only do hubby's good work clothes. Mine get shake outs instead of ironing. That seems to get enough of the wrinkles out for me.
I'm with some of you girls. There isn't enough material to iron.
Karen~Too funny!!

I am laughing so hard I can hardly type!
For those of you with not enough material to iron....PHOOEY! Wish I had THAT problem!
Amanda and AmyGrace: I'm all for warm garments! I haven't ironed mine, but I have tossed them into the dryer for a warm up before going out to the barn! Toasty! And if I'm allowed to say.....no 'headlights'.

I think this is the funniest thread I have ever read!!! Can you imagine ironing a bra....
My grandmother is 101 (no kidding) and she always says " who says the good old days. I lived through the old days and I say to heck with them...I like my washer and dryer!" Next time I call her I'll have to ask her if she's ever heard of ironing a bra. So...Karin (Chessie) did ya find your bra? LOL

No, Misty, I haven't found my bra - You know, small breasted women like myself have, by extension, small bras and little things like that are hard to find! Good news though, I did find a martini...

THANKS!

I never had boobs until I had a baby. Now I have enough for all of us. Just kidding, I'm not "Dolly" sized for heavens sake! How I wish I could lose my bra...... oH! I could drink my martini from my "cups". Since they'd be ironed (starch anyone?) they'd hold water right??? Well, not water....vodka....you know!!!

Oh, Kat mom you are so funny, but you lie! You look lovely. My mom used a mangler to iron.....no of course not bras!! You sillies, just the sheets! I was well versed on it, however, the only thing I iron are napkins and tablecloths. I saw a mangler at a garage sale this fall and some man and child bought it, I so wanted to ask him what he was going to use it for but I didn't. Somehow I was sure it was not to iron sheets. Ha. Any ideas?

Irons make great doorstops. Now with lots of knit tops sweaters and wrinkle resistant pants thats where the iron belongs!

Well there's my problem . . . I read the ". . . ironing the flat sections" part without reading the rest of the instructions. Had to wear noxema on my hot itty bitty tittys for weeks . . .

I bet Martha Stewart Irons her "unmentionables." I can totally see HER doing that-- she's what some would call "Anal Explosive!" (seriously! It REALLY is a "politcally correct" term!) "Anal RETENTIVE" people are very particular about CERTAIN things. (Minor OCD -- like with me and how my bed has to be made a certain way or the dishes stacked "just so" in the dish rack when they get washed) "Anal EXPLOSIVE" people, on the other hand, are very particular about EVERYTHING!!! (MAJOR OCD!!!)

This thread is too funny. I nearly peed myself I was laughing so hard reading everyone's response! As for ironing myself? Well, I only iron fabric when I'm sewing or quilting. I have 4 boys (including the husband) and they could CARE LESS if they look like they've slept in their clothes-- and chances are-- they HAVE! My oldest boy used to wear the next days school clothes to bed at night so he could sleep in til the very last second before we had to leave. I swear, I never COULD break him of that habit!!! ~~~ Tracy
