In one of the other threads we were talking about job cuts and the economy. One of the Farmgirls suggested that we should focus on the positive, instead of thinking about the bad new to list what we are grateful for. I agree with her 100%. I can be negative and that made me snap out if it!! I'm starting this thread and I will try to come every day to post what I am grateful for. Will you join me?? Let's see how big we can make this thread with all our gratefulness. It only has to be a line or two, or more if you like.

Today I'm grateful for the beautiful winter sunshine out my dining room window.

I am grateful for my husband helping me get through our Thanksgiving with an "ungrateful selfish SIL." He makes me see things in a total different light. He always seems to say the right things at the right time, without judgement or predjudice. I am one lucky farmgirl, and he just asked me to go to the movies late this afternoon.. Now I am double grateful, I get to get away from the kitchen.

I am thankful for my little piece of heaven, although it's a bit muddy. So I'm thankful for good boots to muck around in, too.

Also for farmgirl friends!!

I agree with MaryBeth! I am grateful for too many things (and that, in itself, is something to be grateful for!)

This includes being able to spread cheer, and find friends (like the ones here on the forum)...and catch up with wonderful people like Kay, who started the thread (hey Kay!)

So many things to be grateful for. I'll put down one tonight and come back in the morning with another.
Tongith I am thankful for a peaceful evening at home. The kiddies are spending the night with grandma. Grandma's dog, Bandit (who is also the brother to my Ruby) is staying with me and Ruby tonight. He's feeling a little lost, but him and Ruby are getting a game of chase going so he'll be fine.

I am grateful for all the friends I've farmgirl-connected with this year. I was thinking yesterday how different my life would be right now if I hadn't found MaryJane and the farmgirl family I never knew I had.

God bless -

Right now I am thankful for ripe homegrown tomatoes! I had gotten all the green ones I could find before the frost hit and they are starting to ripen. I bought some sourdough bread and just made a bacon and tomato sandwich!!! Oh so good!

I am also so thankful for the sun today.

As I return home from a final exam I am grateful for the emotional and financial support of my DH and daughters (sometimes) who have given me the strength to return and to complete college after a 30 year break. Whenever I feel stressed and like I can't do this anymore I realize that my dedication and determination to finish will set an example for them and their children for generations to come.

Whoa, am I grateful that my DH was available to run me home from town during his busy work day as my truck broke down and wouldn't start at one of my morning stops. I'm also grateful that "our" mechanic (we don't normally have to see him TOO often) came and helped us get it started and I drove it to his shop where it will be fixed by next week. I am now "stuck" here crafting....yippeee!!!

I'm grateful for my wonderful parents who taught me right from wrong and were there for me even when I was'nt perfect. As I have gotten more long in the tooth I realize that this is a great blessing!
