Well we have 10 members to our chapter. At our first meeting everyone was really caught up in the magazines and all my books I have ordered from Maryjanesfarm. We decided to call our hen house " Rogue River Chicks". Everyone cracks up about our term of a hen house.
Our goal-we have started a new food bank in the Rogue River-Wimer area so we can take care of needy families. The community support has been amazing. And so much fun when we get together. The donations have been wonderful. I plan to open my basement to all who need help. On Dec.13th we have organized a Christmas Festival in Rogue River. Santa and his sleigh will be there, and all sorts of crafts and bake sales. We have been selling raffle tickets and so far have sold close to $150 in tickets.
After the festival I'll post to let everyone know how well we did. |
