Cheryl, that quilt is lovely. I made a purple quilt a couple of years ago and although purple was not even close to being my favorite color I LOVE my quilt! It is my all time favorite. You will be so proud when you go to your next quilt class and you get to tote your supplies in your very own quilt. Your classmates will be very impressed. You go girl! And yes, it can be an expensive hobby, but just look at all the pretty and useful items you get to make. A couple of more classes and you'll be able to teach them!

I like your blog and I was right there with you having to find out who was visiting the bird feeder and "sneaking up" on them! Sounds like my house with the sewing machine in the kitchen, a quilt and feeding the birds. Although I put my sewing machine on my dining table, facing the window that views the bird feeder. And I'm glad to know MJ's caramels are as good as they looked in the mag. I want to make them too.

Happy quilting!
Audrey

You did a beautiful job! I love the colors. Can't wait to see the finished tote. I want to learn to quilt too but every time I have to go pick fabrics I give up. I just don't comprehend the light, medium, dark thing and where they should go!

I was surprised how many quilting classes there are that are going on at different times of the year here.
I got some really nice quilt fat quarters at Joanns all in a nice box. 24 pieces I think in the selection. I figured it out that it was cheaper to buy them than for me to pick out that many & pay full price. I use the 40% &50% off coupons whenever I go in that store. I saved $9.00 yesterday on some new rulers and batting. The coupons are at the entry of the store inntheir circular and they have senior discount days too..I could spend hours in there. Debby Mumm designs are also always 60-70% off.
My Dh commented on how many Husbands he counted that wait in the parking lot in their cars/trucks for wives go in to shop.. HA! With the economy as it is..The checkout lines are quite long, lots of handmade things being produced/sewn I am sure.
