I think Robin does!!! Years ago (in Minnesota) I helped make some for a gal who made them for sale..I just loved the smell so much and they were beautiful. What a festive thing to do..I love it!

yeh i make them every yr. for to sell,they are lovely i like doing them, and it makes a bit of spare money for xmas, this yr. though i didn't do so good but i made just enough to get a new floor down so i am happy with that, i wonder what the prices are, i am told i sell for real cheap! jo!p.s. i made a 30 incher today oh my how hudge but nice though i hate to part with it!

I do. I'm beginning to get tired of it now. I love making them but it's gotten cold and I make them in the greennhouse, and my fingers are starting to be very dry from the pitch. It was a rough year for sales. People are worried about putting gas in the tank and heating the house. I don't sell many locally. I make a very different wreath than what the others make here. Mine is much larger, fuller and heavier. I do them for the local price for friends but that's it. I sell them on Local Harvest and through a customer list I've built up over the last four years. I make 12" rings most of the time. They work up to 24" finished. They're 5 lbs (above industry standard) and sell for $24 and $26 each. I make only florist face. I used to do wholesale but gave that up when I got too busy with other things. http://thymeforewe.com/farmwreath.jpg
I haven't done my 30's yet. I'll do one for the house and one for the barn. My husband does the 48's. Do you use double rail for your large ones?
Do you use a machine? I have one but stopped using it when I stopped doing wholesale wreaths. What I'm making now won't fit on the machine. I should have sold it this fall but didn't. I will next year. It saves a lot of wear and tear on shoulders but it's really not a time saver for me.

no! i don't have a machine, i wish, tee hee!! yeh, it is hard on the back and shoulders, fer sure. i make them luckily in my porch, a bit warmer but i do have to leave the kitchen door opened, but your right it is getting coooold here too now, not many sales here either this yr.i also built up customers over the past years. but for some reason they don't seem to be buying alot this yr. i use a single heavy wire for the biggies. my hubby makes them up for me at his work! he works in a furnace factory, they have all kinds of steel ect. there, he's a forman, so he lucks out in getting materials at a good price, gee your prices are good! u know here in halifax i hear they are getting over $50.00 for 24 inch one not even decorated!, i think i am at the years end of it now though, hope so in a way, got to get xmas shopping ha ha! there goes all the little extra money eh? plus i did ok, i got a new floor for this ol farm house soooo nice. out of the work anyways. something to show for my soar neck. tee hee!! jo~

I'm expecting a good year this year! Orders started coming in September. I haven't had time to really think about it yet but I'll start getting excited soon. We could use a few nights of 20° before the end of the month to set the waxy coating on sprills.

My mom makes wreaths for a Christmas art auction in our hometown each year. Last year her's went for around $250. I am not sure how big it was but she really puts her effort into one or two since that is all she makes.

I made my first wreath this year. I just sat on the floor in the LR with Josh and stuck it all together. Josh said I should make and sell them. I made mine w/ eucalyptus though. I would like to either grow my own, or find a good wholesaler to buy from. I'm gonna try to set up a website soon, so I can track my Farmville Farmgirl projects...:)

 gee thta's a good price i imagine she would put alot of work in them. i use my homemade soap for my hands it really works, to keep hands soft. and also i use a coffee ground one it helps get the balsome of some. funny, it seems to be the only time i get nice nails.lol weird eh? i hope to get a few orders i make 4 different sizes, 12 inch, 16 in. 20 in. 24 in. and only one 30 in. as there is only one who orders that size. well girls lets hope we all do good this yr. eh? good luck jo!

Here's my first attempt at a wreath. It's the ONLY thing hanging in my kitchen. It's mostly eucalyptus, and a few sprigs of berris and seeds that match nicely. It's only a 12" and dont ask about the bow and the wheat, that was DH's idea ;)

I agree with Nance, Chistine, your wreath is really pretty, I really like eucalyptus, I have several bunches of it around the house, love the smell.

christene, that is beautifull, i will have to try one of those. i got some brush yeaterday, and i am starting them soon. the frost in on the ground this morning! so it is nearly time fer sure. i like to make the fir ones with a bit of pine, but the pine is hard to get here o the property! so will have to make do. u know! cedar makes a lovely wreath and it lasts a long time if any of u have that? u can prune the cedar tree, won't hurt it a bit. later, good luck on all the wreath sales girls! jo~
