A pirate owned a pet shop and for several years, all the parrot heard was the worst kind of filthy language. One day an older lady bought the parrot to be a companion for herself in her house, not knowing the filthy language the parrot used.
For weeks the lady only heard tirade after tirade of the worst kind of language. She tried everything. Ignoring the parrot, correcting it gently, giving the parrot extra attention and love. But still the parrot persisted in using foul language.
One day the lady's nerves snapped and she put the parrot into the freezer. She could hear it still yelling it's obscenities for a few minutes and suddenly the house went very silent.
Worried she had caused harm to her pet, the lady ran to the freezer and opened the door. Out came the parrot who promptly said "I can see now that I have been in error. If any of my rants have ever offended you in anyway, please accept my most sincere apologies"
The lady was understandably pleased but surprised. She asked "What brought this turn around? I have been trying for weeks to get you to behave yourself!"
And the Parrot replied... "Can I ask what the Turkey did?!"
