The first item was to reconnect with the farmgirls and Saturdays are usually cleaning days so because my computer is sooo slow, I've been able to get my cleaning done while waiting for my answers to post. That's slow!! I'm also going to start some holiday baking to take with me when I visit family on Thanksgiving. After that I'm going to work on a felt table topper that should have been finished ages ago. Then read, read, read...

I have a busy day planned. I have been making these hand bags.. well I call them "Rene's TeaBags" Because they are made out of Cotton Tea Towels. SO this one is Cranberry Teabag, my Green ones are Green tea, etc...........And I am behind on my orders as we have "thanksgiving in Wine Country" all next weekend and I have to get more made as they are selling, selling, selling...

Also my 17 year old plays for the local high school football team and they are in the State play offs.........SO we have a game today as well.

he is #53

#2 son and his wife are comming for supper. He just lives a couple of miles away but works in Kansas City, 3 hours away. He is home most weekends but with a wife, farm and animals, 3 married kids and 3 grand kids, we have to get in line sometimes. I am fixing liver and onions and mashed potatoes and fried okra. All his favorites. DIL won't touch liver, let alone eat it, so the only time he gets it is when I fix it for him. Thats what Mom's are for. It also puts me at the top of the list for who gets to see him this weekend.

Oh Misty! Yikes! Maybe you can make it a "Movie Day" and put in lots of family favorite movies. Settle in with everyone getting a nest of blankets or a place on the couch to watch some TV. *hugs*

Rene - Good luck to your son in the playoffs! I worked this morning for a few hours at my PT job. Now I'm trying to play catchup on emails and such and thought I would come over to the farmgirl world to catch up too. I'm getting ready to go through Christmas stuff and put some of it on Ebay, etc. We're not putting up a tree as where we had it last year, now a 80+ year old rocking chair sits! And I don't feel like rearranging things. so it may be a small tree on the table. haha. I am also catching up on laundry and other chores. With this weather, I feel like cooking some soup for supper tonight. Yum yum!

I am sorry Diana, I typed that wrong. OH my was in response to poor Misty's family. Mine is well today.. We just returned from shopping , picking up a few groceries so I can continue baking, now hubby & I are both cooking... He is marinating beef for dinner, I am preparing another batch of beef jerky ..for cooking tomorrow. Making cookies & some candy next after I finish addressing my Christmas cards for Farmgirls christmas card exchange list. I only have 5 more to do... Horray.. I can mail them next week. Again sorry Misty about your babies.

All the doll babies have eyes now, so next comes mouths and hair! They will finally get clothes probably tomorrow or Monday at the latest. I love how they all start taking on personality!

I hope everyone else is having a good Saturday. Misty I hope you are surviving!

Well I ended up putting up the tree and decorating the house, cleaning up and doing laundry, then going to work to help out the boss decorate, attended a wedding with mum while she played the piano (it was something I'll post on that later) and then I'm back and catching up on other things.

Thanks for all your well wishes...I've survived!! I totally took your advise, Alee and we chilled in front of the TV. My sister and her boyfriend stopped by to show the kids their new puppy and that totally made their day!! Anyway, off to bed for me!!

Misty- Glad you survived! My family used to do family movie days on Saturdays occasionally and it was lots of fun. I also remember how when I was sick as a kid, zoning into a movie helped me not feel so miserable for the whole day.
