This is hard to write but she lost her battle to cancer this evening in the hospital with her family around her. She went back into the hospital last night and they knew this was the end. She was in no pain when she passed away.

She appreciated every card that was sent, it reminded her that her life mattered to each of you and she made a difference in this world, she certainly has in mine.

Now I have a request for you farmgirls. I would like to do a presentation to her husband and children of all the ways her live mattered to each of us. If she made things for you or shared with you, could you write them down and send them to me. I want to give back the love that she gave to me.

If you need her address to send cards to her family, let me know as well.

She has forever printed love on my heart and I will never forget her love towards me......

Carol Sue, Thank you for letting us know. My heart is with her poor family. With as much pain as she has been in, I am glad she has peace at last, but I think of her family and even us farmgirls as her friends. She will be sorely missed. She was one of those souls whose pure kindness burned bright in this world.

My tears are making this hard to write, Clare was the embodiment of hope and living each moment. what a beautiful soul she was . I will forever miss her brave and upbeat posts. I never met her, but she is imprinted on my heart. I am so terribly sorry. My sincere sympathy to her family and especially to her husband. Clare, Farm sister, you are missing from the circle, but never forgotten.

I am so sad to hear that sweet Clare has passed. She loved her family, her friemds and her life so much. I thought of her so often and prayed for her and her family. It is wonderful that she got to spend such quality time this summer with ther family. She had wanted that so badly. I am sure they will treasure those memories forever. Clare always knew what was truly important in life. She lived her life with love,so much love and caring and giving. She had a zest for all lifes simple pleasures. I wish with all my heart that she had won her battle with that dreaded disease. We are all so lucky she touched our lives. I for one am going to cherish everyday the wonderful life I have been given and honor her memory by living it happily and full of hope and love as she did. God Bless you Clare and your sweet family.

I'm so sorry to hear it. I don't have any personal memories to share, but like everybody else who followed her story here, I admired the bravery, optimism, and cheerful composure she showed in facing such a devastating illness.

Oh, I am so sad and sorry to hear this news - Clare was such an amazing person in the way she lived her life, and the way her life inspired others of us to live ours to the fullest - every moment. I remember her being so positive, even in the midst of insurmountable grief at the prospect of leaving her family...I so admired her and will continue to do just that. Sending prayers and wishes of peace for her family and all who knew her...

XOXO, Libbie

Thanks so much, Carol Sue, for letting us know. Words do not come easily at times like this, nor does it seem like enough words exist to express what we feel. God be with her family and give them peace. Hugs to all, Nance
