Picked us a few things yesterday. I figure I should go as often as possible before the weather turns bad and I have to stay home. Well that's this weeks excuse anyway.
Going with Richard to the doctor this morning for an update on his shoulder surgery. He is very anxious to get back to work. I'm all for that.

Nancy, you ALWAYS find such pretty things at the thrift!
I love the basket, so pretty!

I wish there was a thrift like that closer to where I live! I went to one a few weeks ago and got a few nice things, a cute skirt for a dollar, yay! Love it.

Hugs from Marian/Dutchy, a farmgirl from the Netherlands :)

The books facinate me, I love old books. I use to have a rather extensive collection before stbx made me throw them away durring one of his rages....sorry, that is rather depressing to hear on such a fine friday morning. NancyJO, you've inspired me to start a new blog about high fashion from the thrift store. Monday I bought a pair of Steve Madden clogs at the thrift for $8 and a Chicos top for $3!

What we write today slipped into our souls some other day when we were alone and doing nothing.

corrine,
That sounds like a very good idea. I will be watching. I know I have bought some pretty high end pieces of clothing over time that I never could have bought retail.

I just found a book I forgot I had. The title is "When we were Very Young" by A.A. Milne. Its a book of poems. It has a copywright of 1950. I would never get rid of it but wonder what it is worth. I bought it years ago at a garage sale. Its marked 20 cents inside the cover in pencil so I must have paid that..

Nancy Jo I am so far behind on your blog I'm not sure I will ever catch up! I saw the wreath you made....WOW those acorns never looked so good! It is just precious! You will be proud of me sort of....they opened a thrift store here in town and I rented a booth where I can sell some of my stuff. It costs $50.00 a month but I have been busy and have about $155.00 worth over there already. My house is all torn up now searching and getting into things and my daughter is coming with Baby Sam a week from today! I can't wait! It is cold here too and this is the South! what's up with that? How do you keep all your things so nice and neat and incorporated into your decorating? I wish you could come here and help me decorate! I have spent more money then I've made at the thrift store and they don't have as nice of stuff as yours or so inexpensive. I spent the day pricing, cleaning, laundering and packing and then went over and displayed it all. I took tables and a clothes rack over yesterday. Pictures will be forthcoming! LOVE your treasures and those books and CONGRATS on Farmgirl of the month! I had no idea....I'll have to get on the stick here!
Hugs girlfriend!
