Hi,
I need some new ideas for things to try. I got my motorcycle endorsement at 39. Became a Master Gardener at 40. Now I'm 41 and looking for something new to try. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Marji from Michigan

Actually I have written a couple of stories. But I'm not sure if I'll ever get the nerve to send them somewhere to see if they would get published. LOL I guess you never know unless you try. Right?

Marji, do you do any needlecrafting? I learned to knit at 39 and quilt at 40. Also took up gardening (square foot method) at 40 - needed it as a stress relief during last days of hubby's mayoral campaign. You could learn to can the produce from your garden. There's also sewing, embroidery, spinning wool - heck, the girls around here do ALL KINDS of things, and everyone is so willing to help someone else learn.

Best of luck from another 41 year old (well 41 a month from today)!

Why don't you go back to college? My dad always said that knowledge is the only thing you take with you when you die.

I was thinking about going back to school. Not sure yet what I want to be when I grow up. LOL. I cross stitch and I'm working on a blue jean quilt right now. I just love to try new things. So thanks everyone for the great ideas.

Learning an instrument would be lovely. I took piano as a child and would love to re-learn that lovely music I once played so easily. Music challenges the mind and soothes the soul.
