Hi Everyone! I live on my farm just north of Spirit Lake, Idaho, and I have really been enjoying all things Mary Jane's Farm. My husband, kids, and I spend our days trimming goat feet and tending lavender (amongst other things). I am so happy to find a forum full of other farmgirls from all walks of life! Nice to meet you all!!

Hey Katie. Welcome from really rainy, dreary gloomy N. Ga. now. It's pouring out there. And I have goats, too! I know where those girls are.
What kind of goats do you have? I do lots of goat feet, too, and have learned to wear really thick gloves!
Looking forward to hearing more about you and your critters.

welcome Katie! I'm also from Idaho.. in fact I used to live near Spirit Lake. Very nice area. We should start an Idaho hen house, if there isn't one already. Z.

Thanks everyone for such a warm welcome!
I have Boers and Nubians right now, but we want to get Nigerian Dwarfs and Oberhaslis someday too, I love goats! I spent most of my youth around cattle at my Grandpa's farm, and bears and such when we lived in very, very rural Alaska, so the goats were a welcome change ! All of your comments are really appreciated and I'm all for hanging out in an Idaho hen house!

Hi Katherine, Welcome to the group. I too have to trim goat hooves. I have nubian pigmy mixes. Their names are Rufas and Becki.
I am in Nampa, near Boise.

Welcome Katherine from the Bluegrass State of Kentucky. Looking forward to learning more about your life as a farmgirl. Sounds like you have been doing it for a long time. It's a dreary day here so far. We are looking for snow flurries by Sunday. You have probably already had snow.
