A friend of mine who is a huge fan of my needle work has suggested that I give knitting lessons to help fund my education. Has anybody done this? What was the experience like? Any tips?

Hello Corrine. Wish you could teach me to knit! I am trying to find someone to knit a Christmas stocking for a Christmas present. Are you interested? Hope you are. Thanks, Tracy

Sorry, Tracy, I have all the projects I can handle between now and Christmas. I would love to take in freelance projects, I just need more advance warning. If you want to see my work, check out my quilandneedle blog.

I taught knitting at a local knitting shop for a couple of years, and I really enjoyed it! It's not a class people take because they *have* to take it--it's something they're excited about! With all the great yarns and patterns out there, it's pretty easy to keep them interested and excited about knitting too. Just keep in mind that it's not going to be for everyone, so if you have someone that really ends up not liking it, remember that it's not a reflection on you, it's just that she and knitting didn't "click".

With a full-time regular job + overtime + doing work "on the side" + my family + actually wanting to spin, knit, quilt, etc for myself, I ended up dropping the teaching job. But, if I had my choice, I'd go back to it anytime!

Time....now if someone could just make more of that for us.....
