My plants didn't survive this summer, and though I have started new, I am trying to find some calendula creme now. If anyone has some to buy or barter can you email me. i just made pesto yesterday so I could throw that in the offer as part of the barter.

thanks,
laurie

I second that one! But if Kristine doesn't have any on hand... I have some great comfrey creme with calendula in it I would be willing to swap. =)

Laurie,
Do you normally make your own calendula cream? I usually have calendula plants in my garden every year too, but they didn't do well this year.

No, I never have but after joining this site in early spring, or sometime thereabout, I have learned a lot and want to try. My little calendulas in a pot are doing well. I have to rotate the potter so they don't lean too much one directions, but I am excited and hopeful I can start collecting flowers for next years balm.

I dried calendula from my garden this year and made some balm/ointment from it. I like it so much I want to make more, so I'm looking online to get the raw ingredients. I found several websites that offer dried calendula petals for sale, so they are out there if you want to try making balm before next year's garden is blooming. (I can't recommend one because I haven't ordered yet.)

Mountain Rose Herbs is where I like to buy herbs from, if I run out. They also have bees wax and other supplies.
