Hooray, my husband finally comes home tonight after visiting his family in southern CA. His father is doing very poorly, so he wanted to have one last visit with him. Our 5 year old son & I have really missed him though and can't wait to see him!
I decided to give my husband a small surprise and I repainted our master bedroom bathroom. We had a lot of mildew on the ceiling and walls, so I scrubbed it all off, then patched & sanded the walls, next I used Kilz for the primer, & finally painted the room "Icelandic Blue". It's a very subtle, icy blue. I sure hope he likes it. I am amazed how much brighter and fresher the color makes the room look. It was plain old white before. I plan to buy a tint to darken the leftover paint & do my sons bathroom next.
Golly, I sure hope my husband will like the color! Can't wait to see him too!
Gotta go caulk around the shower now.

I love the sound of it, Dawn! And I'm with Sherri -- Bet he's too busy looking at you and his son to notice the bathroom right off! I'm praying for his safe return!

Thanks for the kind words! Last night was one of the best in my life! My husband came home safely and my candidate is our President!
My husband really liked how our tired out old bathroom now looks. Like me he was amazed how a little color breathed new life into our home! A good omen!

| Sounds like you are a busy person. You can come here & paint my house anytime. Sure glad Ali got to visit with his father. Kris has been trying to get me to change the colors in my rooms & I know she would help us paint. Weather is turning colder been nice for the last few days. |

Hey there Aunt Janet, nice to see you back here on the forum! Yes, I've been crazy busy here these past few weeks. I am hoping things will calm down soon! Have fun painting with Kris this winter. I'm sure you'll love the results although your place looks beautiful now!
Hello Michele, it's fun to see you & your mom respond in a row here! I was amazed I got the room done in one day. I even got the paint out of my hair before Ali got home! The room looks so fresh, that I'm going to do the boys bathroom as soon as I buy a tint to darken my leftovers.
