Yep...first thing this morning she delived a big bull calf. He is beautiful and weighs at least 100 lb. He is up and walking and nursing already and Mona is doing great. And ON her due date. Wonderful to have that past us. I will start milking tonight! We will call him BOO until my little granddaughter Kayla picks his name. I promised her that "honor" this year. He will go to his new home in a couple weeks but we get to spoil and enjoy him in the meantime. Looks like he will be going to a good farmgirl home..over to Kate (Katiedid) here in town. So...we will get visitation rights even after he leaves. My camera batteries wore out today (of ALL days!!) so I need to get new ones when I go to the store in a few minutes...will post pictures on my blog a little later on today.
Wow! Isn't that big for a newborn calf? So glad mom and baby are doing well. Look forward to seeing the pictures... Boy, you could come up with all kinds of cool names being born on Halloween.

That's wonderful! I'm so glad everything went smoothly. I was up early milking this morning, wondering if you would be doing the same soon, too! Congratulations on a healthy calf!
I promised my little Granddaughter Kayla that she could name the calf this year. We are calling him Boo for now. She is supposed to call this afternoon and let me know.
Way to go, Mona! Boo is mighty cute. I know you are glad to have this behind you for sure, Aunt Jenny. And I bet Ms. Mona is too. Let us know when Boo is named. Gotta check out your blog for some more pics...
