HI,
I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a pattern of how to make a spinning wheel. My husband is looking for one. Thanks

LOL Connie! The spinning wheel IS part of the survival. You need to knit those woolies to wear to keep you all warm up there.

Gals, I have searched and searched out in his shop and I have not been able to find it....I will continue to look. He told me that he might have loaned it out and forgot about it....
We got it on ebay for $5 or $6. It is a small book.
It got so cold and no fire out in the shop today...will try next week when he is home.
Sorry,
Sarita

I may have a chance to look for the pattern soon....hubby is putting in a flue to put in a wood stove...I am so sorry...thought I could just go out and pick it up! It has been a few years since Danny made my wheels and he may be right, he might have loaned it out. I will keep looking.

Sarita, Is the book you have called "A Small Upright Spinning Wheel Construction Manual" ? It looks a lot like the wheel your hubby made for you! www.villagespinweave.com/IBS/SimpleCat/Product/asp/product-id/26143419.html

Monica, he had both of those books...they are just like what I have been looking for for you all. I think he bought his used from ebay. I don't think I will find his, he tells me he is sure he loaned them to someone and he is usually pretty organized and knows where most things are so I am going to assume he is correct. I am glad you found this site so you can get the pattern you need. Next time before I respond to a post, I will have the item in hand.

Sarita, Don't apologize! If you had not said about your book I probably would not have found it online and I also had the picture of your wheel from your blog so that when I saw the book I thought that might be it! It all worked out perfectly! Believe it or not I actually found a copy of the book for $420.00 online! I don't understand what people are thinking considering that once you know what you are looking for,I was able to find it new from a lot of spinning shops for $8.00!
