I just saw an email about soap leaves. You get the silk leaves and dip them in soap, let dry. Use once and throw them away. The pic I saw was done up in autumn colors. So very pretty.
I want to make some soaps and have been scanning the 'net looking for easy recipes and ideas. This was one.
I used to make those back when I had my soap business... they are pretty easy to do..well sorta..you have to dip them into the melt and pour scented glycerin soap...but..it helps to string them using thread and needle....then dip and quickly hang them to dry..seperating them quickly apart..you have to work sorta fast. another way is to dip them real fast and lay on a wax paper..but then the soap kind of makes them look a little flattish on the bottom so I recommend the string them onto thread method and hang them over a wax paper lined cookie sheet. I used to make rose scented ones and then put them into those little fluted glass ivy jars and top it with a doily and gather the doily with ribbon and tie. they sold pretty well.and made nice gifts.
I've been wanting to do this for the longest time. I think it will be after the holiday's before I have time but would make lovely Valentines or Mother's Day gifts. Thanks for the tip Tina.
