I use to have the rugs that matched this leopard. I used them in the merchant booth when I use to travel to events. I was gonna make bags from this runner and then I worked on my cloak yesterday and it popped in my head how cool they would look together. I am going to handsew it on in case I ever want to take it off the cloak.
That's gorgeous!! I've 2 panne velvet cloaks that Cime made~I loaned them to a fella that works at the PO and his wife for a Halloween party and they took 1st place.
I use to have "panne " nightmares. I must have done couple 100 cloaks out of them for the booth at one time. You made some awesome cloak yourself bonne !!!! Do you still have pics of them ?? I wish now I had backed all the pics up from years ago to disc. When the old computer crashed I lost 100's of pics of things I made.
I've lost pics that way too unfortunately. :( (sewing that panne~arghhhh until I got a serger. Of course I was done sewing cloaks by then~ha!) I remember one of the first cloaks I got from you was a cotton with snow leopard print on it. Gorgeous totem cloak. I gave it to a friend for her birthday, now I wish I'd kept it.
I remember those snow leopard cloaks . I didnt keep one either --wish I did. I have never see that material again. I NEVER want to sew on a piece of panne again ! UNLESS I get a serger.
Jess ?? IS it a baby yet ????? Its strawberry costume is ready and waiting for it to wear . :P Karin --love my card you made me --thanks so mcuh!!!!!!!!!!
I am gonna have trouble matching the brown in the fabric I am finding out. I may just go with a deep rich black for the hood instead. Then I will keep my eye out for a pretty tribal trim for around the hood. That might work
