Please say a prayer for Jennifer Hudson and her sister. In addition to her mother and brother being slain, I just heard that she is enroute to identify a child's body they believe to be her 7 year old nephew. What an unbelievable tragedy to happen to this family.
Jennifer Hudson is the actress who was on American Idol a couple of years ago then went on to win an Academy Award for "Dreamgirls". She was also in the movie "Sex and the City" and is now starring in "The Secret Life of Bees". It was a pretty big deal when a "cast-off" of American Idol won an Oscar the very next year, so she's been in the news alot. My heart just dropped when I heard this earlier. In fact it aches for her now just thinking about it. Poor little peanut. I'll bet he was terrified. My prayer is that they will find comfort in their Father God's arms.

Yes, am praying too. Is there an update on the little boy already? Not heard the news yet, as they don't report much about it here. Just in the evening tv news.

I barely know who Jennifer Hudson is, but this is a terrible thing to happen to anyone. Sounds like it was domestic violence type scenario with an ex-husband or ex-boyfriend of the little boy's mother. Very sad.
It's been confirmed that it is her nephew. There are reports/rumors that the reason behind this was an argument over a car payment or something. So sad to lose a mother, brother and nephew.
