I would like to try my hand at selling my crafts. Like I said, TRY!
I don't know anything about it and was looking into Etsy and ShopHandMade. The problem with Etsy is you have to pay a fee and the other one is FREE!
But are there any other sites that are free? Any help on a nebwbie on this? ANY help is appreciated, lol.
MY problem with ShopHandMade is I can't seem to upload anything, I always get the upload stopped page or whatever that is called. No matter how often I try, it still will not upload any picture, duh! :(

The thing that is great about Etsy is the amount of shoppers that you have at your fingertips. You don't have to worry about drumming up visitors to your site.
Are your pictures too big? Maybe try resizing them and see if that helps.

Yes, I have now finally figured out that the pics DID come up, lol. But you are right about Etsy. I like the fact that even I can do it easily instead of plowing through SO many things to get it right. I might decide to go with them instead of the free one, will see wether the costs etc is not too high.
But the free one is also strange because I can't seem to find my shop there!! Maybe I did something wrong, but I have to fill out what I am looking for instead of seeing my complete shop??
Ah well, will see what comes of it,. Was just trying things out, lol. Thanks for the help, Rhonda and will keep y'all updated, one way or the other :)

Marian - if I were going to open a new online shop I would go with Etsy. They are growing by leaps and bounds so the exposure would be so much better. What I've found with lots of the free sites is that no one really knows about them because they don't advertise. But you also have to market yourself too. Post about it on your blog and here on the forum in The Marketplace. I bet your things are adorable - lots of pink, I'm sure! My favorite color. If I can help in any way just let me know.

Thanks and if I need help I will let you know.
