We have 7 of the 8 cousins (Nora's Cousins) here at my parent's house this morning. We are having a Halloween Extravaganza this weekend. The kids are running around having fun playing with each other. Lots of busy activity!
This afternoon we are going out to a local farm to pick pumpkins, Indian corn and some other fun things! This evening the kids are going to get dressed up in their Halloween costumes and we are going to have a Haunted House. Then tonight we are all going to unwind by watching a family friendly movie!

We are gearing up for a family weekend also. Getting an unplanned visit from our son that lives in CA and works all over the US. He just finished a job in Oklahoma City and dosen't have to be to the next job in TX till next Tues so he is on the way to KS for a couple of days. He will visit with his daughter, granddaughter, son, Best friend out west of us and other Best friend who lives down south of us. So Our time will be limited. He already has the menue planned for tomorrow so I am making some more home made buns. Have hamburger out of the freezer just in case there are 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 for supper tonight. If his plans take him someplace other than here at supper time, Ole Ron and I will experiment with the home made tomato soup. Sounds like a win win supper. |

We are going to the pumpkin patch with my nieces and nephews tomorrow. There are 17 of them. So, family events are always quite energetic, but great.
We had a "harvest festival" today at the garden center where I work. Lots of kids having fun doing gourd hunts, making bird feeders, caramel apples and decorating cookies.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I hope that when your mother comes up to visit you sometime Alee, that you invite her to our meeting. I would love to meet her.

It was a very busy, very fun, very hectic day! We had a fun morning at the house, then went to the Pumpkin Patch at 1 o'clock. The kids got to see a working farm, pick their own pumpkins from an already picked pile (the deer ate the ones still in the field) got pictures taken. Then we all came home. Nora took a nap while we decorated mom's house and we all got into our costumes. My dad was a wolfman and mom was a witch. Sky-Dog was absolutely terrified of Wolf-Man dad and kept barking and growling at him when in costume.
The kids did some pumpkin bowling, played some games, and made their own pizzas. We then watched a movie as a family on a projection screen that Dad borrowed from work! It was a fun and very full day!
