I have started with cleaning my diningroom today YAY!!
Remember my question about being overwhelmed with clutter etc?

Well my dining table is visible again, lol.
Almost empty except for the sewing machine (need that tomorrow) and a few other small needed items, but clean and visible!
Stacked the Bookmooch books against the wall, so that is neat too. AND threw out 3 bags of rubbish. Not the big bags, just 3 shopping bags, but out they went. And the floor is looking better too, the walkpath is bigger, hehe.

Tomorrow will start with the rest of the diningroom and then will sew my bedroom curtains, YAY! SO that is done then and I can relax more.
And it looks way better already, lol.

Thanks for all the advice and encouragement girls.

Hugs from Marian/Dutchy, a farmgirl from the Netherlands :)

You're going to love it come Saturday, if you keep plowing through. I did a big "clean sweep" through my bedroom yesterday, and waking up this morning was actually NICE! Wow, it's so clean! What a great feeling. Keep on the good work and show us pics when it's all done.

Doesn't it just feel good to have a clean room? Sometimes I'll just go look at it or sit a while and bask in cleanness. What a feeling!

Good for you, Dutchy! Keep it up.

BTW, I was finally able to leave you a message on your blog. First time I've done that. But it was so neat because some of the instructions were in Dutch, I guess that's what it was.

Yay!! After reading your last post, Dutchy, I took a good long look at my kitchen. yuuuuccckkk. Clutter and bunches of dust bunnies. I have been working on cleaning it from top to bottom since Monday and finished it up late last night. But I love going in there now. Keep up the good work!!

You will feel like a weight is lifted from your shoulders when you get it all done The clutter is keeping you a hostage and you shouldn't have to feel that way. I do a quick sweep with a trash bag every day. I never let the junk mail come into the house either.

hey, i'm jealous.....your post motivated me that i'd feel so good after i dug into cleaning my house (and getting all this clutter off my shoulders), but everytime i start something else comes up. yesterday, unfortunately, three hunting dogs (belonging to 3 neighbors on our street) became a pack and come up and attacked our kitty--sammy. it was terrible! i ran out of the house as they were dragging him off our porch....they ran into the woods tearing at him. i spent all afternoon at the vets, and this morning, too. good news...sammy will live! so i'll try to start de-cluttering tomorrow!

Hearing conquests of clutter always inspire me. I have a friend who thinks a need a specialist come in to help with my "paperwork". I don't think it's much of a problem save for the fact that I'm now getting an average of 10 to 15 catalogs a day. Talk about raping the forests! So . . . with your inspiration at hand, I have vowed to hit the study room tomorrow anew and attack all that paper and "stuff" in there. Thank you!!!! Well . . .maybe tomorrow. I really need to trim the "dead" off some of our trees with what little light we have left today.

From Cleveland to Idaho - what a ride!

Good job, Marian! I know how overwhelming all that work can seem at times and I have been there a lot the last two years. I was suffering from depression and a slow thyroid and did not feel like doing anything! Isn't it wonderful what these gals can do for a body (a farmgal)! The motivation is astounding! I have gotten support here a lot lately too and got three rooms redone and now my house is basically done! Well, sorta' a person's decorating can never really be done. Ha!
