Yesterday, one of my brothers wanted to come by the new house we are building, Boy, was it down right chilly, They went home and invited us by for supper. But,they had to go to the store first Anyways. We went to see my hubby's brother and his sister. I was going into their house and missed the step from the sun porch and WHAM !!! I fell, I think I hit my head on the table ( there is a bump and it is sore) I burised my legs and knees really bad Had not my nephew had been there; I couldn't have gotten up without his help !! I felt like a cluck !!! I have fell twice at their house now. I am beginning to think their house dosen't like me Ha. Anyways. I am sore every where We stayed there for a bit and then went to my brother's house. We had a good time;but needless tp say, I am tired and sore. Pinkroses

Thanks Alee. and Annika and Nancy. Nancy, I think you are right. It seems as I have gotten older and all these diseases and conditions. Things like falling are more often So, I try to stay up right. Ha. I am glad everyone likes the doily. Sheila

Wow, that was bad news! Hope by tomorrow you are feeling less sore. A good reason to sit back with your feet up, and read or crochet to your heart's content. Hugs, Nance |

So sorry to read about your fall pinkroses! I hope you feel better! Maybe you should make sure you don't have vertigo or anything going on to make you a little extra clumsy. I had an inner ear infection last year that made a little off balance. Be careful! |

Prop your legs up and rest, Sheila. I fell recently and bruised my leg from my ankle to above my knee. If you have swelling, try some ice(I used a 2 pound sack of frozen peas-when they get almost thawed, put them back in the freezer for the next time). I also used a tube of cream called 'Rescue Cream' that helped the bruising. Hope you recover quickly. :)

My daughter used to fall a lot. My dad told her your suppose to keep your head up and legs down not your legs up and head down. As a two year old she understood and tried to not fall. When she did she would remember what her grandfather had told her and we would laugh. It made the hurt not so bad. Madelynne |

I used to figure skate & we were taught to fall as it happened SO MUCH!!! The technique was to let it go, and fall naturally so as to land on your butt. If you fight it too much you can really become injured. Luckily, my butt has always had ample padding to aid in a relatively pain free landing. Hope you feel better soon pinkie! & Janice, you better take care.. we need you to be 100% for all of our miss wilma outings!!! You & David ROCK! |
