What a wonderful find! Don't you just love it when you find things that you treasured as a child but lost over the years?

Your cards are absolutely gorgeous!

Nice! I think I had the same kitchen set and yellow sofa in my dollhouse as a kid. It was a different style of dollhouse though. Is the furniture plastic? That's what mine was.

Yes Amie, most of it is plastic, some is wood. There were so many pieces that I can't use it all at the same time, so I guess that will give me a good reason to re- decorate it once in awhile.

Nancy Jo, I am so jealous!!! Too cool for you. My friend gave me some miniatures she'd been collecting when I told her about the dollhouse I was gonna set up and I've been thinking about all that plastic dollhouse furniture you got last year or so at the thrift. Wondered if you had found a house yet. So this is just the universe coming together! I had a metal house like that too, don't remember if it had the two side rooms, but since my dad was in the Navy and we moved every couple years, we didn't get to keep very much of our toys, only what we deemed as special when it was time to move. I can tell you I still have a scar from that metal dollhouse - it was on the shelf in the bedroom closet and my brother threw a football (a no-no in the house) and it knocked the house out and fell on me, but mostly my hand, and cut just below the thumb on my right hand...every time I see that scar I think of that dollhouse...anyhow, good job, girl! You keep on thrifting! Judy As far as the miniatures I have, right now I'm keeping them in the "attic" of the shelf that will be my dollhouse. And when I get a room together, I'll work on that room. Too fun!

It really is something that so many have had this same playhouse when they were little. Judy you are right, lots of sharp corners on it. It would never pass the kid test for safety today.

I love that doll house! I always wanted one when I was a little girl. How luck you were to find this one.
