Hi gals! I have a request. My little Teddy charity would like to start a blog for our website. The site we currently have, we have to pay for and we would rather use that money towards bears and sending them out to kids. A blog would be free and easier to get traffic to then a regular website.
So here is my request. Could some of you with blogs just post a note here with your blog addresses so that I can show the gals what wonderful things you all do with your blogs? You know, get us motivated and inspired... Believe it or not, there are about 12 of us, and none of us blog! lol
The link to the teddy charity is below, on my signiture line if any of you want to check it out ;)
Thanks a bunch! Elise

Thanks gals. :)
Karen the CS is going.. lol I've finally got through all the mags you sent and am so full of ideas!
Alee, I can't believe you only pay $10!! Donna says our site is $107 a year :( We could buy so many bears with that... That's why I think a blog would be the way to go.
Heather, your graphics are cute! I checked out her site and she has bears! Just what we need.

Hey Elise,
My main blog is:
www.queenofdreamsz.blogspot.com
But I do have my website and a fabric blog that is not updated right now..
Thanks for taking a look! Below each post at my blog you will see the word "comments"...Blogs are alot of fun and a great way to network with other that share common interests..The premise is to not only look at someones blog but to "leave a comment" so the blog owner knows you have been there and it also places the link to your own blog...thus networking is taking place!
Anyhow, yes, it would give you alot of exposure..all of you could be placed with permissions so you can all post to the blog to keep it updated if some of you don't want to maintain a blog on your own.
Good luck,

I know Elise, my pay for site this year was over 160 dollars!
I think 10 a year is great too Alee.
But, for a non profit org, like yours Elise I would go with blog. Free, and easy.
I also do like the comment part. I remember when we had to use a different service to have comments on our blog. Then blogger, started offering it to us as a option! lol Made it a lot easier to moderate.
Elise, I had notice before some one on your teddy bear group is close to me! I go to Elmont NY all the time! The Elmont library is where my TOPS group meets!
BTW, I LOVE Ollie's (countrypatchcollections.com) graphics. I also really really love MarysLittleLamb.com since you all do a non profit org, I would contact Mary, and ask if she would help you will some of her graphics. She has a LOT of bears. And her's are super cute as well. I need to add her site to my blog, but I've just been redoing the blog lately and haven't gotten around to it yet. Some of her graphics are on my blog as well. (the desk, the chair, the shelf) |

Heather, I don't know where Elmont is, but Donna, the gal who started all of it lives in Centereach. Is that close?
Stephanie, that is a good tip about one or many doing the blog. That would make it easy so that it wouldn't fall to one person to keep it updated and going, like the website..

Oh, I'm not sure about Centerreach, I just noticed some one on your group was from Elmont. :)
And yes, with a blog, more then one person can do the posting and editing etc of it as well!
