no honey, much to my chagrin I don't know how to ride!!! Did you take a look at the pics? #38 is a video of them getting ready to parade off across the mansion land. They were to sing happy birthday and such to the woman that owned the land but she died yesterday on her birthday. The hounds had kennel cough so no hounds. Just a trail ride today. Also membership is like $$$$ Some day :)

The pictures are wonderful! It makes me so sad and longing for my childhood though. I ride and as a child the Beaufort Hunt (in Pennsylvania) used to ride across my parents farm land. So, every year they would come by and chat before hunting season and when I was old enough, about 12-13, they invited me along. Since we didn't have a horse trailer at the time I would ride my sister's Thorughbred/App cross about 4 miles and then we'd hunt all day and then we'd hike the 4 miles home, crusty with sweat, but as happy as any kid ever was.

I LOVED foxhunting and even though that particular hunt was not real active or adventurous it was just the best time of my life. The older gentlemen that rode, the Master, and the whippers-in were all SO nice to me and were so eager to teach me proper hunting etiquette-which they take very seriously. I'm not having a great day today and it makes me want to go back in time to simpler days.

I have to laugh at the series of unfortunate events. The old lady died. The hounds were sick. What else could go wrong?

Danielle, your childhood fox hunting experience sounds like something out of the horse books I read as a kid. Glad to know some people actually got to do that stuff!
