Hey Girls!
Ok I have been drumming something up all night and I might need some advice to go along with this and help me out in getting it started. Here we go: when I was younger I remember someone telling me about this chain mail idea but you send kitchen towels. The purpose of it was to send 10, put your name at the bottom of the list, it would get spread about that way. In the end you would end up with lots of different kitchen towels. I hope you are following me. So my idea was a story quilt. Meaning we would start with a list of girls and I would send out 10 quilt blocks that were the same but told of me, kinda like a signiture. I would leave a signiture on it. I would send it to 10 different girls and they would put there name under my name. They would then send me a block and send out 9 blocks to other girls. This would go on till the list hit 10 my name would be bumped off and the new name would be placed below. Then in the end we would put together this quilt that we all helped to make but they would all be very comforting. The idea being that if there was ever a time when we couldn't get to out computer for some farm girl comfort we could look at our quilt and wrap it around as...kinda like hugs from afar. I'm thinking this might work. If you would like to participate let me know....I'm still trying to figure out all the little things which is where I would need some helpful advice to those of you who know what I am talking about. I was also thinking if this took off we could do one for the knitting and crocheting farm girls. If this has alread been done sorry, I wasn't sure. Hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm hoping for some rain!

I'd be interested in all three (quilt, knit and crochet) - just let me know when you get it started, sizes, etc. Sounds like fun!

Sounds interesting but it might be hard on some to make so many right off the bat. maybe start with a smaller number? especially depending on the size of the blocks. JMHO Beverley
