Ok, so I was like in love with that man forever and he was one of the greatest actors of all time to me. I am sad to hear he has passed on from cancer. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. If you are fan, what are some of your favorite movies?

I LOVED Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid- two hotties in one movie.

I did a report on Cool Hand Luke and didn't think I would like the movie until I watched it.

So many..how about you????

He sure was Heather. I got to meet Paul Newman on set. They were making a movie here in Kansas City. I was making slipcovers for the movie. My sis and I were so excited, He told us how nice our work was. And gosh darn I forgot to get an autograph too. It was just nice chatting with him.

He walked up the drive way in plain ol clothes holding his script. My sis didn't know it was him but I sure did, those blues eyes.

A super nice guy and so is his wife. He will be missed.

I really liked him and his movies.
I am sorry he passed away.
His marriage to Joanne Woodward was one of the longest in movie-land I believe.

I will pray for his family.

He kept his illness very quiet...it came out recently. I loved Paul Newman. Aside from the obvious (very sexy!), he seemed like a regular guy. He kept his life private and stayed married to Joanne Woodward for 50 (?) years. I read an article about him and he was very giving to organizations and had the 'Hole In The Wall Gang' camp for sick or disabled children. I've always enjoyed his movies, especially 'Cat On A Hot Tin Roof", "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" and "Cool Hand Luke". He was one of the great ones and he will be missed. My condolences to his family.

don't forget "the verdict" for which he won (finally!!) an oscar. oh, and "the sting"! yes, he will be missed. a true movie star, a very considerate, giving person, and someone who also seemed to like the role as "a regular guy".

My Jr/Sr. prom we got to see The Sting after the dance. I've always thought Paul Newman had the sexiest eyes in Hollywood. He and Joanne Woodward were a remarkable couple. He will be missed by all. God Bless him and his family.

Don't forget about his foods - great organics that he developed and marketed with his daughter, then donated most of the proceeds of to charity.

I think it is so awsome that he "gave back" so much!! I loved reading the labels on the Newman's Own foods ..his sense of humour shone through. He will be missed for sure!

I loved him too. One of the last movies I saw him in was 'Empire Falls'. I really enjoyed him in that and I think he won an emmy for his acting in that role.

When I was pregnant with my first child who is now 39, the doctor had a pic of Paul Newman taped to the ceiling above the examining table - I was young and had to ask who he was...

I recently re-read the book that he and his daughter Nell wrote called "the guide to the good life", where Nell shares the road it took to bringing her dad into the Organic lifestyle and how even in the beginning he didn’t really "get it" his love for her really caused him to look deeper into it. Which I think says a lot about the man. The book covers a lot of topics like food (of course), also transportation, energy and water, communication, money, credit and investing, shopping,. Pet care and cleaning supplies you get a sense from the book that the love of organics was certainly something that they shared. It is a very sweet and well written book.

They sure don't have movie stars like him anymore, that is for sure.

I love the movie "Nobody's Fool". A cute little movie. I believe he was nominated for an oscar on that one as well.
