Well I don't but I love them. I am looking for someone who can send me a small log and a box full of bark samples and maybe some leaves. I teach art and I love to study artists who do birch tree paintings in my class but most of my students have never seen them. If you can help me out, please let me know. I will pay for the shipping and will send you some goodies as a thank you.

I have some in my yard, but don't want to cut them down because I love them. We are trying to get someone in here to log before it gets snowy, but are having a hard time with that. Anyway..I'm sure at least one will get lost or have to come down to get the some bull pines out that are dangerously close to the house. I will think of you if I find a downed tree in my travels.

Well it doesn't have to be CUT down. I know we used to have some of the logs around when I was a kid. I don't really want someone to destroy a tree for me just to send something they may have laying around!

We have a pellet stove, so we really don't keep logs around. I checked out my birches today, and found really nice pieces of paper hanging off, but there were about thirty feet up :(
Today, I saw few downed birches from a recent wind storm, but they were puny. Later tonight, we are going across the mountains to Montana to look for bears. We go by lots of creeks, which is where they are found, so I'll keep an eye out for paper if you still want.

I have river birch trees and may have some bark peelings on the ground. It's not like the white birch, more a buff color but still beautiful. I'll let you know if I find any in the morning.
