If you are in the Chicago area on Friday, October 10, please join us for a UFO Night (Un Finished Objects) at the Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Oswego, IL from 5pm til we all go home (which is usually around 10 or 10:30). Bring your craft project and a snack to share. We usually just munch chat and craft our way through the evening, but it's so fun to get everyone together. These are the crafts that have been worked on in the past: sewing buttons on an 1830's costume, scrapbooking, knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, latch-hooking, melt-and-pour soapmaking, and at one event I laid out and labeled squares for a quilt. Basically, if you can carry it into the church, you can work on it! Also, for security purposes, we keep the door locked while we are there, so please bring a cell phone to call my cell phone when you arrive (that way I can let you in). I'll need to join you in a "virtual" UFO night. I've got so many I wouldn't know where to begin. That does sound like a lot of fun, being locked in with crafters, chatters and munchers!
