Maybe I am the ony one, that loves to Rummage through "stuff"...If not, how many others like to "rummage" through "stuff"? There are always such good things in others "stuff"..... I have found several patterns that have been disregarded as no good, only to find out, that the pattern I wanted is till intact...WHOPPPEEE!!!, for me, now I use it...How about your stories of "rummaging"?

oh no,,,you are definitely not the only rummager! I love to rummage! Growing up in the UK, we would go to the local 'Jumble Sale' which is what we sometimes call rummage sales. I love to look under the tables and dig down into the boxes that look like they don't hold much but sometimes you find 'treasures' in there! And, what some people discard, another will pounce on...just like those patterns! They would have been thrown out! Crazy!

you are definately not the only one! we have what i lovingly call the "transfer mall" it is like a rummage sale without the price tags! i have found some awesome stuff ther! alot of it is junk but the treasures are worth the look! it is actually the transfer station for the borough dump but has a covered area for reuseable stuff! peace connie in alaska (i wont be answering many posts for a bit as i had surgery today. will keep up as i can) |

I am now "rescuing" things from our recyling bins. Last week I was about to dump my glass into the bin and on the bottom I see about 12 12" x 14" pieces of stain glass. Now I know how expensive they are. I can't reach them but I got a guy who was there to get them for me. I knew I could find someone who would use them and appreciate them. Today I dump my newspapers in the bin and I find 5 books and a set of enclyopedias in the bin! I got the books out (couldn't find the whole set of enclyopedias) and brought them to the thrift stores. We have two in town--why couldn't people bring them their. I also got about 40 magazines out that I will read and recylce or give to the thrift stores. JoAnn |
