My hubby will donate and create 50 bumper stickers for our newly forming chapter:
but I need your input and he'll get on the designing and printing of these out in the next couple of days. But I'll need the input in the next couple days..gotta snag the mans creativity while I can before he gets too busy to help me out here.He's got 15 plus years experience with design.

o.k. so..this was the idea I had:
ok help me out here:
I know we are called the MJ's Heirloom Mavens.
So...what shall we have the bumper stickers say ..maybe something like:
"Preserving Our Future One Seed At A Time"
Does that sound good?
Let me know . I am thinking a simple design like a hand cradling a small seedling.

OOOO! I just had the best flash of "what the future could be like"....So I am driving along in my car with the MaryJanesFarm bumper Sticker and the Heirloom Mavens bumper sticker. Someone sees and comes talks to me. I tell them a bit about heirlooms, the bad properties of GMO and the suspected effect it is having on bees etc. They are wowed. Amazed. Horrified! They want to learn more. I tell them they really should check out the forum! It's a great resource! They mourn because they just bought a bunch of seeds from a non heirloom place. I say "oh really? Would you like some heirlooms?" They of course say yes! So I open my trunk, and there is a little bag full of packets of seeds. I'll have lots from saving the previous year, and plenty to give away! So the stranger goes home to throw away the GMO seeds they bought and instead starts planting heirlooms. They also log on and become a new farmgirl sister!

I like it, I like it! That really is one way this could play out, ya know? We better start reading asap because people will be asking us questions and we have to be informed. I'm still holding my breath to see if any of my heirlooms produce seed.

I really think the word "heirloom" needs to be there somewhere. If we do our seeds our Future I would like to see the word heirloom shadowed behind the statement. Am I making sense?

do you think our chapter name "MJ Heirloom Mavens" is explanation enough on that "heirloom" part?? or not??
or we can put something on the bottom that says Heirloom Seed Savers.

o.k. about the bumper stickers they won't be coated..but the vinyl and printing lasts outdoors for up to 2-4 years. it is a waterproof ink that they are printed with.

I know - I'm late to the opinion party - I'm leaning toward the "Preserving our future..." sticker - not sure that's an option anymore - will be able to get my thoughts together better when I see a visual - too much in my head trying to condense the MONGO extinction thread.
