I finally posted some photos on my blog - come and see!!!!

Well, we had a fun meeting tonight! Five women, three sewing machines, a layer cake and iced tea, and lots of fun conversation. A great combo. We made the MJ apron pattern we received in the biscuit mix package. I took the pattern to Kinko's and had it enlarged per the instructions. Julia made her apron from a wonderful sheet she found at Goodwill. Light lavender flowers. She is going to use a soft green binding tape all round. Jennifer made her apron from a piece of fabric that looked like a hugh red western kerchief. Britney made hers from a dark blue fabric with yellow flowers on the bottom. And Donna made hers from a beautiful scrap of blue fabric she had. They are all going to be so cute when they are finished. We did not get the finishing touchdes done on them tonight.

It was my hubby's birthday, and one of the girls brought a cake for him, and we surprised him with a happy birthday song and cake and ice cream. Then he retreated to the living room to let us take over the rest of the house.

It was so much fun to be with them and hear their stories of what is going on in their lives. One's husband called to say he had won a legal case......it had been going on for two years, and he won it tonight! Another's babysitter called to say that her daughter had stubbed her toe, and needed to talk to mommy.

Being a farmgirl is just getting better and better. When I was in the fabric store buying supplies, I even saw apron kits for sale. In one package there was everything needed to make a "new" vintage apron. Now needlework companies are getting on the bandwagon, too!

Love it! Can't wait until we meet again and plan a new project. I still want to make baby blankets with ribbon edging for a homeless pregant mothers home here in town.

Hi Maggie! We are in Tallahassee. You live in a beautiful area. Do you have a chapter there yet?
