So we're in the process of building a new coop. It's taking way too long, and I'm pretty sure I'm just going to have to shack our chickens up in our bedroom to "encourage" him to finish his project. (Originally it was MY project, but you know how guys get when nails start getting hammered...) I'm really looking forward to decorating! It won't be as pretty as MJ's coop or the one featured in her magazine, but it'll be fun!
The windows are from an old book case we found at a garage sale. :-D
i better not let my chickens see that, they are really slumming in their old shipping crate! be sure to post pics when its done. peace connie in alaska
running water would be a good thing. make it alot eaiser to keep fresh water around! of course we carry water to our cabin and fill the chickens waterer by hand *grin* peace connnie in alaska
I think they just like our projects more. My DH is the same way and he gets nervous and drives me nuts. So some times I just get his big saw and walk around with it just to give him something to do. But he does have some thing to worry about one time when he was gone I tore out a very nice bathroom and made it in to a pantry. Diana
Mary, is that lenoleum on the floor? How cute is that. And what are the concrete footers? I've never seen anything like that? Do you just dig a hole and put the posts in the middle? Looks like something my husband could do to make things a little easier.
Your chickies will love their new home when its finished.
diana, once when hubby came home for dinner he found that i had pulled down the ceiling in the kitchen (plaster and lathe with tons of walnut shells! he wasnt terribly pleased either! lol peace connie in alaska
