I raise Registered Shetland Sheep. I would love to visit with other people that raise sheep, especially Shetland Sheep.

Michele what are your shetlands crossed with? I crossed some of mine this year with other good wool producers. Had the best lambing season that I ever have. I wish I knew someone wanting to start raising shetlands, or wanting more sheep. I would sell some of my pets to them at a very good price. My flock has grown larger than I want to try to care for. I have some beautiful little shetland ewe lambs that I would like to go to a good home instead of being slaughtered. I also have 2 registered shetland lambs that are out of show stock and would make great rams for someone. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Border Leicester is what mine are crossed with. One is black the other white. Jack is bigger then Jill, and I do like the white, Jacks wool, a bit more then then black. His has a crimp to the wool, as Jills is more a curl. She is also changing color a bit. Lets see they are 2 years old I think now.

I am interested in sheep for our little farm. I am just doing some primary research now. I am torn between alpaca's and sheep although there's nothing that says I can't do both. I am interested in it mostly for wool for spinning but apparently lamb meat is in demand as well.
Any resources I should check out?
